    Rare Vintage 2010

This Blanc de Blancs vintage champagne is produced in very limited quantities and benefits from the same high standards of care as the Rothschild Family’s finest wines.

As soon as the Champagne House was created in 2005, the Rothschild family settled in Champagne with nothing but excellence as their ambition. Less than a year later, the creation of an exceptional cuvée placed under the sign of a great vintage, like the wines of their greatest Châteaux, completed its foundations.

This luxury box contains 3 bottles (3 x 0.75 litre) of Barons de Rothschild Rare Vintage 2010. An ideal box for all your tasting occasions and gifts.

    Tasting Notes

Pale gold colour with crystalline hues.

The first nose is very mineral, chalky with notes of citrus, hazelnuts and fresh almonds. The second nose then reveals notes of spices, tonka bean and nutmeg, still supported by a beautiful freshness. After several minutes, aromas of stone fruits, mocha and praline with pastry accents emerge.

The attack is broad and the verticality in the mouth echoes the minerality felt on the nose. The saline and iodine notes of great finesse, accompanied by hints of lemon and citrus, give way to notes of spices which support the warm finish of a very good length and reveal the perfect harmony that emanates from this wine.

    Food pairings

This great Champagne wine will sublimate all moments of gastronomy and will pair the flavours of the most refined dishes. Its salty side will perfectly match a tartar of scampi with citrus fruits or a poached filet of turbot. Its spicy finish is a perfect pairing to lightly spiced poultry supremes or a veal medallion with morels.

Ideal serving temperature : Serve between 8 et 10 °C.

Characteristics : The 2010 vintage: A rare vintage, favourable to Chardonnay. The wine year started under the best auspices with an early spring. This beautiful perspective was thwarted by a month of June where very low temperatures delayed the flowering. The summer period was punctuated by thunderstorms, high temperatures and humidity, which complicated the maturation of the Pinots. The Côte des Blancs plots selected for this cuvée benefit from an ideal exposure and the choice of a late harvest at the end of the harvest revealed Chardonnays of very high quality with perfect ripeness.
