“Intense, fresh and very precise, the bouquet reveals a complete and complex range of flavours – the overall is silky, fleshy, melting, airy, and of great aromatic purity.” – Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, Louis Roederer Cellar Master.
Presented in its luxurious box, the Louis Roederer Cristal Rosé is ideal for your gift-giving occasions.
Soft pink colour, light and delicate. Brilliant, ultra-fine and dynamic effervescence.
A refined bouquet of freshly picked tart red fruits (wild strawberry, raspberry) and lemony flower petals. The fragrances delicately mingle, pure and precise, gradually enriching themselves with nuances of fresh almonds, bread and spices (cocoa bean). These nuances have an airy, fusional tone that takes us beyond the bouquet.
Intense, velvety and seductive on the palate. It is obvious after such perfumes. The juicy and concentrated red fruit gradually draws towards the raspberry liqueur backed by invigorating sweet citrus fruits. The harmony and delicacy are reinforced by the creamy effervescence which gives a concentrated and spherical sensation. The mineral freshness then comes to stretch this matter which becomes vertical, calcareous, saline and sapid... an infinite sensation of acceleration by the luminous and pure limestones.
Blend : Made from approximately 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay, of which 20% is vinified in oak barrels, Cristal Rosé is made using the saignée method after cold maceration. It benefits from an average of 6 years of maturation in cellars.
Vinification : Vinification: long and gentle "infusion", a technique specific to the House. Some Chardonnay juice is poured into a maceration of Pinot Noir, to ferment together and integrate perfectly. Terroir: 50% "La Rivière" vineyard, 50% "La Côte" vineyard. Wines in wood: 20% Malolactic fermentation: 0% Crus: Aÿ, Avize, Mesnil-sur-Oger.
Dosage : 7 g/litre
Characteristics : The year 2013: The year 2013 was characterised by a particularly late cycle! The interminable winter gave way to a very timid spring. Indeed, we had to wait until the first days of July to record full flowering in the vineyard... It had been a long time since we had seen that in Champagne! Fortunately, the summer was radiant with record-breaking sunshine and low rainfall, which was very favourable to the ripening of the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. The October harvest took place again in the cool autumn weather and produced elegant wines with a strong freshness... great "classics".
