The 2014 vintage: a three-beat climatic waltz, with strong, sharp contrasts! Beautiful, dry spring ending with a scorching June; cool, rainy autumnal summer; hot, sunny and very dry September… worthy of a month of August. The “key” to the vintage lies both in the soils and the work of the winegrowers: the chalk, which is more draining, in the middle of the hillside, allowed us to evacuate the excess of water from the summer and to limit the excess of vigor… will be revealed by our winegrowing practices, which are more and more virtuous, allowing us to go further in the search for the balance of the grapes and of the maturity.
    To the eye

Pink color with nice gold reflections. Soft and regular effervescence. Nice cord.

    On the nose

Intense, fresh and fruity bouquet. Fresh and tangy red fruit sabayon (wild strawberry, blueberry), slightly sweet, supported by more candied, concentrated and lemony notes. On aeration, the aromatic complexity imposes itself with a farandole of spices, hot cinnamon and peppers.

    In the mouth

Fleshy attack in mouth, the red fruit expresses itself in all its crunchy maturity and its flesh, at the same time creamy and deep. The fruity matter is progressively stretched for a chalky mineral freshness that prolongs the tasting in a sensation of lightness and harmony.

    Ideal operating temperature

To appreciate all its finesse and aromas, champagne should be enjoyed chilled (but not iced). Depending on the cuvée, the ideal serving temperature is between 8 and 12°C.

    Potential of keeping

Like all wines, champagne can be kept for varying lengths of time, depending on the type. Under optimal storage conditions, champagne can be kept for 1 to 2 years for Brut cuvées, and up to 4/5 years or even longer for vintage and prestige champagnes. Whatever happens, rest assured that you'll never be able to open your champagne too early, as the Champagne Houses only release their cuvées when they have reached perfect ripeness and are ready for immediate consumption.

    Assembly :
The 2014 Louis Roederer Brut Rosé is a prestigious blend of 63% Pinot Noir and 37% Chardonnay, of which 17% is vinified in wood.
    Vinification :
To elaborate its rosé champagnes, Louis Roederer has developed over the years a way that is quite unique in Champagne. Called “infusion” in the House, it allows to extract the juicy and ripe side of the Pinot Noir while preserving a great freshness. Thus some Chardonnay juices are poured into a Pinot Noir maceration, to ferment together and integrate perfectly.
The Brut Rosé 2013 has been aged 4 years in bottle and also benefits from a 6 month rest after disgorgement to perfect its maturity.
    Dosage :
    8 g/liter
