BollingerSpecial Cuvée Nebuchadnezzar (15L) | Naked Bottle
It doesn’t get more Bollinger than Bollinger Special Cuvée! A Champagne of great class, Bollinger Spécial Cuvée Nabuchodonosor is the very expression of Maison Bollinger’s expertise, that of offering year after year a wine that faithfully embodies its signature style, imbued with density and subtlety.
History: In 1911, Georges Bollinger’s British agent came up with the name Special Cuvée – in English and without an accent. Indeed, he found the expression “Brut sans année” inappropriate for a champagne of such subtlety… More than a hundred years later, the name of the emblematic champagne of Bollinger savoir-faire still contains all its history.
Champagne Bollinger Special Cuvée is golden in color, the hallmark of black grape varieties. It bears witness to a fine maturity. The bubbles are very fine.
On the nose
The nose reveals a beautiful aromatic complexity, with aromas of ripe fruit and spices, roasted apple, compote and peach.
In the mouth
On the palate, a subtle combination of structure, length and liveliness. A bubble as fine as velvet. Aromas of pear, brioche and spices, with hints of fresh walnut.
Shellfish (shrimp, langoustine, lobster, grilled lobster). All fish, especially sushi and sashimi. Poultry and white meats. Parmesan cheese. Large dry-cured hams, dried meats, Patanegra.
To bring out its unique style, bouquet and aromas, we recommend serving Special Cuvée between 8 and 10°C.
You can enjoy Special Cuvée now, or let it age in the cellar.
