Champagne Drappier

THE SINCERITY OF PINOT NOIR SINCE 1808
The Champagne Drappier House has been making authentic wines for two centuries, known for their intense Pinot Noir aromas. General De Gaulle’s Champagne supplier, the Drappier House has always produced wines marked by freshness and fine effervescence. The family House is also known for its great vintage cuvée, the Grande Sendrée, which surprises with its refinement and aromatic complexity.

Nature and the environment at the heart of our concerns

Since 2016, Champagne Drappier has been the first estate in Champagne to be “carbon neutral”. From vineyard to tasting, every effort is made to reduce their carbon footprint.

"Pinot Noir runs in our veins".

Champagne Drappier is resolutely committed to sustainable development and environmental protection. We cultivate our vines according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, and use ecological and recyclable materials in the manufacture of our bottles.

The “Brut Nature” label on a bottle of Drappier Champagne testifies to the excellent taste of the product, produced without artificial additives or sugar overdosage. This champagne offers a unique sensory experience, characterized by its purity and aromatic intensity.

Drappier Champagnes come in a range of prestigious cuvées, each crafted with the utmost rigor and respect for Champagne traditions. From the traditional Carte d’Or to Blanc de Blancs, Vintage Exception, various Rosés and non-dosed cuvées, each Champagne reveals notes and aromas of unequalled finesse and complexity.

Maison Drappier applies the famous traditional Champagne method, whose complexity and meticulousness guarantee the quality and uniqueness of each bottle. This method, which involves a second fermentation in the bottle, is inseparable from Champagne’s reputation and nobility.

The best way to store Champagne Drappier varies according to the cuvée, but it should generally be kept in a cool, dark place away from light. A non-vintage Brut or Rosé should be drunk within 3 years of purchase, while a Vintage Champagne can be kept for 5 to 10 years.

Champagne Drappier’s vineyards stretch across the prestigious Aube region, mainly in the commune of Urville, where Pinot Noir reigns supreme. In the heart of winegrowing Champagne, the limestone terroir and cool climate give the grapes slow ripening and exceptional aromatic richness.

To fully appreciate the subtleties and nuances of Drappier Champagnes, they should be served chilled, between 8 and 10 degrees, and enjoyed in appropriate glasses, to release all their aromas and finesse. Older vintages can be decanted to reach full maturity, while younger wines reveal their freshness and fruitiness as soon as the bottle is opened.
