Charles HeidsieckBrut Vintage 2012 Bottle (0.75L) | Box
The Charles Heidsieck Brut Vintage 2012 with Gift Box is a vintage designed for ageing, full of minerality, complexity and elegance. The year 2012 has been much talked about. Probably because of its chaotic viticultural past, finally rewarded by a breathtaking harmony, almost miraculous. Today the 2012 vintage has found its place among the greatest years of Champagne.

The colour of the 2012 is a beautiful pale yellow gold, the bubble is fine and dynamic.
On the nose
The first nose is still shy: grilled, smoky notes, liquorice evoking mineral earth. After a while the wine opens up, the fruitiness takes on another dimension: apricot, sloe, quince, fresh almonds, with an exotic touch of blueberry. This aromatic concentration is typical of the vintage, which makes it so interesting.
In the mouth
The attack is mineral with a lot of tension; the freshness is well present, signature of its noble composition. The mid-palate reveals notes of quince, vanilla and vine peach. The finish is firm, crisp, cubic with a length that will be an invitation to gastronomy. A nice vintage to which time will bring a lot of complexity and generosity.
Charles Heidsieck Brut Millésime 2012 is ideally suited to flavours from the land: smoked poultry breast, bean salad with coriander. From the sea: Roast monkfish with Serrano sauce and oyster mushrooms. Or sweet notes such as a caramel and salted butter millefeuilles with roasted hazelnut slivers.
To appreciate all its finesse and aromas, champagne should be enjoyed chilled (but not iced). Depending on the cuvée, the ideal serving temperature is between 8 and 12°C.
