Each Veuve Clicquot Vintage is a reflection of the year’s weather and climate. It reveals the flavors of an exceptional year. The predominance of Pinot Noir in Veuve Clicquot Vintage 2015, produced exclusively from grapes selected for the grands crus and premiers crus, gives it the angular, fleshy structure emblematic of Veuve Clicquot champagnes, while the proportion of Chardonnay brings the elegance and finesse of a perfectly balanced wine. A small percentage of Meunier completes the blend, enhanced by the use of a portion of wines vinified and aged in oak foudres, bringing power and aromatic richness to this cuvée.

As with all Vintage cuvées, Pinot Noir dominates: it comes mainly from the southern part of the Montagne de Reims and the Marne Valley, with Grands Crus and Premiers Crus such as Ambonnay, Bouzy, Tauxières, Avenay and Ay. Other crus on the northern slopes are also present: Verzy, Verzenay and Ludes. Chardonnay comes mainly from the Côte des Blancs, with crus such as Mesnil sur Oger, Oger and Vertus, and Pinot Meunier from the Montagne de Reims (Ludes) and the Vallée de la Marne (Dizy).

    Food & champagne pairings

This Vintage is perfect for an aperitif. It also goes perfectly with delicate, gourmet dishes. Harmony-energy (salicornia, katsuobushi, citrus), diversity (play on textures, spices, world cuisine), intensity (product with character, smoky, grilled cooking).

    Ideal operating temperature

    Enjoy between 10° and 12°C.

    Potential of keeping

Like all wines, champagne can be kept for varying lengths of time, depending on the type. Under optimal storage conditions, champagne can be kept for 1 to 2 years for Brut cuvées, and up to 4/5 years or even longer for vintage and prestige champagnes. Whatever happens, rest assured that you'll never be able to open your champagne too early, as the Champagne Houses only release their cuvées when they have reached perfect ripeness and are ready for immediate consumption.

    Assembly :
50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Meunier.
    Vinification :
Like every Vintage, wine reflects the weather and climate of the year. The 2015 harvest is the result of an exceptional viticultural year with low rainfall and plenty of sunshine, producing concentrated, structured wines.

The predominance of Pinot Noir, produced exclusively from grapes selected for the Grands Crus and Premier Crus, gives it the structure emblematic of Veuve Clicquot champagnes, while the proportion of Chardonnay adds the elegance and finesse of a perfectly balanced wine. A small percentage of Meunier completes the blend. The uniqueness of Veuve Clicquot’s Vintage collection lies in the use of wines vinified and aged in oak foudres, bringing power and aromatic intensity. Wines matured in this way enhance the blend like spices, giving it subtle toasty, woody and vanilla notes.
