The art of opening a bottle of champagne

Favour a controlled and restrained opening

First, hold the bottle tightly in one hand and tilt it slightly, avoiding pointing the cork in the direction of a guest!
With the other hand, loosen the loop and remove the wirehood and the liner together while holding the cork tightly on the bottle with your hand.
While still holding the cork firmly, it should remain fixed, slowly but surely rotate the body of the bottle with the other hand to gently release the cork from the neck without letting it escape.
When the cork begins to pop, hold it at the edge of the neck for a few moments to prevent the foam from forming and coming out of the bottle.
After a few seconds, you can completely remove the cork from the bottle, and serve the champagne!
