The Saint-Sauveur Champagne House has always been committed to sustainable development, focused on preserving the environment and enhancing the value of its terroir. This is reinforced by its family dimension, where each generation sees itself as the guardian of a living heritage, rather than the owner. Situated in the heart of the Côte des Blancs since 1886, the estate’s viticulture is respectful of the environment, favoring soil tillage, ageing on lees, and manual riddling and disgorging, reflecting a deep respect for Champagne traditions.

The words “Brut Nature” on a bottle of Champagne Saint-Sauveur indicate a champagne with no added sugar after disgorgement. This approach highlights the purity and authentic expression of the terroir, offering a taste experience marked by the freshness and minerality characteristic of the great Blancs de Blancs from the Côte des Blancs.

Maison Saint-Sauveur offers a varied range of cuvées, carefully crafted to reflect the richness of its terroir and its know-how as a Récoltant Manipulant. These include :

Frédéric T Vintage: a contemporary expression of family know-how.

Vieilles Vignes des Bouveries Vintage : a plot-based cuvée. The lively, chalky soil of the Bouveries parcel, just a few yards from the Priory, yields this great wine. This parcel-based cuvée reveals the full Saint-Sauveur style.

Rosé Premier Cru: an elegant champagne resulting from two very fine harvests for both Chardonnays and Pinots Noirs.

Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru Vintage: an exceptional champagne made from Premier Cru chardonnays.

Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru Extra-Brut: an elegant, well-balanced cuvée.

Clos de Saint-Sauveur Extra-Brut Vintage : a rare plot-based cuvée, reflecting a unique terroir.

Champagne Saint-Sauveur produces its cuvées using the traditional Champagne method, which involves a second fermentation in the bottle. This method, combined with artisanal practices such as manual riddling and disgorging, and long ageing on the lees, guarantees champagnes of character, combining finesse and aromatic complexity.

Optimum shelf life varies from vintage to vintage:

Non Vintage Champagnes: to be enjoyed within 3 years of purchase.

Vintage Champagnes: can be kept for 5 to 10 years, or even longer for certain exceptional cuvées, provided they are stored in a cool place, away from light and temperature variations.

Champagne Saint-Sauveur ‘s vineyards are located in Vertus, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, a region renowned for its chalky soils and climate that are ideal for growing chardonnay. This exceptional terroir lends the House’s champagnes magnificent freshness and minerality. Our parcels in Oger en Grand Cru, also in the Côte des Blancs, and in Congy also bring different notes to create the finest champagnes.
