Barons de Rothschild Rare Collection Rosé 2014 with Luxury Box is produced in limited quantities and benefits from the same care as the Rothschild Family’s finest wines. When the Champagne House was founded in 2005, the Rothschild family set up in Champagne with excellence as its sole ambition. Less than a year later, the creation of an exceptional cuvée placed under the sign of a great vintage, like the wines of their greatest Châteaux, completed its foundations.

The 2014 vintage : Marked by a mild, wet winter followed by a very dry spring, 2014 proved to be a year full of surprises and climatic contrasts. After a summer characterised by abundant rainfall and cool temperatures, the late arrival of warm weather in September was decisive in finalising the ripening of the grapes. Although the quantity of grapes harvested was small, the 2014 vintage revealed exceptional concentration and finesse.
    To the eye

A brilliant colour with copper highlights and a fine effervescence.

    On the nose

Initial notes of fresh cherry and citrus fruit - blood orange, ripe pomelo - give way to hints of spice reminiscent of saffron. The complex nose is powerful, revealing vanilla notes reminiscent of the partial vinification in oak barrels.

    In the mouth

The attack offers a remarkable texture of saline minerality and aromas of ripe raspberry and strawberry. On the palate, the wine is infinitely long and taut, ending on warm notes of pepper and sweet spices.

    Food & champagne pairings

This cuvée goes perfectly with lobster and its red wine sauce or a rosé duck breast. Its structure will also sublimate slightly spicy Asian or Oriental dishes.

    Ideal operating temperature

    Serve between 10 et 12 °C.

    Potential of keeping

This wine shows a very good ageing potential.
