Barons de RothschildRare Collection Rosé 2012 Magnum (1.5L) | Wooden Case
Barons de Rothschild Champagne Rare Collection Rosé 2012 Magnum with luxury box, produced in very limited quantities, is the unprecedented union of 4 Grands Crus of Chardonnay and a touch of red wine from an exceptional year. A prestigious vintage with a perfect harmony between fullness and delicacy.
Vintage 2012: From freezing to scorching, the 2012 wine year was marked by a long winter, followed by a cool spring with little sunshine. After hail and torrential rain until the end of July, the warmth of August miraculously saved the 2012 Vintage. The harvest was small in quantity but of rare and exceptional quality, making this Vintage one of the best of its century.
A brilliant robe with copper highlights and a fine effervescence.
On the nose
The finesse of Chardonnay combines with the structure and power of Pinot Noir. Toasty notes of spice and vanilla evoke the partial vinification in barrels. Opening reveals pear aromas and the freshness of Chardonnay.
In the mouth
The full, light, lemony attack brings tension and crispness, revealing a wine of beautiful verticality. The persistent finish is supported by great complexity and beautiful bitters.
This great Champagne wine is the perfect match for a rosé duck breast or a venison in grand veneur sauce. Its structure will also sublimate slightly spicy Asian or Oriental dishes.
To be consumed between 8 and 10 °C.
This wine has excellent ageing potential.
A blend of 92% Chardonnay and 8% Pinot Noir red wine. 100% Grands Crus and Premiers Crus: Avize, Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger Cramant for the Chardonnay; Verzenay, Vertus for the Pinot Noir.
