Bollinger La Grande Année 2014 with boxed set is the epitome of an exceptional, timeless champagne, thanks to the craftsmanship that goes into making it. One of these unique skills, vinification in wood, takes place in old oak barrels, 20 years old on average. It favors the development of highly refined aromas and, thanks to micro-oxygenation, gives the wine extraordinary ageing potential. For yourself or as a gift, its elegant case is suitable for all occasions.

Vintage 2014: 2014 was a year of contrasts. A rainy autumn and winter were followed by two very dry, sunny months. Then summer, particularly August, was marked by particularly cold weather. Thanks to the expertise of Maison Bollinger, the quality of the grapes was preserved and the musts achieved a fine balance between ripeness and acidity.
    To the eye

A robe tinged with golden reflections, testimony to the wine's maturity, but also to Bollinger's winemaking methods.

    On the nose

A fruity, precise and finely iodized nose. Aromas of cherry and lemon mingle with quince and bergamot. Later, notes of hazelnut, almond, mirabelle plum and peach complete the aromatic palette.

    In the mouth

The palate opens with fine, intense effervescence, followed by fine vinosity and balanced by delicate acidity. Its fine texture and saline finish give it great length on the palate, accompanied by complex flavors of orchard fruit and citrus. An airy wine that gradually unfolds to show its full potential and intensity.

    Food & champagne pairings

Thanks to its incomparable density and texture, La Grande Année 2014 is a great food wine. Its creamy effervescence, combined with a fine vinosity and balanced by subtle acidity, makes it the ideal partner for refined dishes and noble products. Chefs vie with each other in creativity to accompany this great champagne: Christopher Cottenceau has imagined a recipe of prawn bouquets, red currant seaweed, dulse and sea lettuce; Cannelloni of Alaskan king crab and sea urchin coulis by Chef Gabriel Kreuther; Turbot with langoustines by Eric Vildgaard; Fleur de calamar and its langoustine tartar, black caviar and green apple by Chef Fabrizio Mellino.

    Ideal operating temperature

To bring out its unique style and aromas, we recommend serving this wine between 8 and 10°C.
