« A rosé champagne that combines the aromatic intensity of Pinot Noir with the elegance of its fresh notes of wild berries. A faithful reflection of the terroirs of the House of Mumm. » Laurent Fresnet, Cellar Master of the House of Mumm
Mumm Le Rosé surprises with its fresh aromas of forest fruits, typical of the Pinot Noir grapes from the House’s terroirs.
The addition of still red wines brings a singular aromatic intensity to this blend, with light and elegant notes of juicy fruit.
Presented in its luxurious case, the Mumm Le Rosé will be ideal for all your tasting occasions and gifts.
A pale salmon colour with subtle orange reflections and a fine, sustained effervescence.
A nose with fresh and light touches of red fruit candy. Intense aromas of strawberry and redcurrant are underlined by a hint of spice and a subtle gourmet note of red fruit coulis.
A lively and fresh aromatic sensation immediately marks the palate. The structure of the wine is elegant, with hints of summer fruits. The finish is long and balanced by the sweetness of red fruits.
Mumm Le Rosé goes well with an elegant summer aperitif: gazpacho (not too spicy), tomatoes and peppers. It also goes very well with a fresh starter, based on seafood or light cheeses (mozzarella, fresh goat cheese, ricotta). The perfect pairing? A marinated salmon with cranberries, served with a seasonal salad.
Ideal serving temperature : Mumm Le Rosé is best enjoyed between 6 and 8°C
Vinification : Crafted from more than 120 crus and still red wines, Mumm Le Rosé reflects the richness of a high quality terroir and the House's know-how.
Ageing potential : Mumm Le Rosé will keep all its aromatic freshness and delicacy for up to three years in the cellar, under good storage conditions. Beyond that, it will gradually develop delicious jammy notes.
Characteristics : The tradition of rosé champagnes is a long one at Mumm. As early as the beginning of the 19th century, Georges Hermann Mumm's father, a true precursor, produced a highly prized champagne called "œil-de-perdrix" (in reference to the colour of the skin around a partridge's eye, which is a fairly deep pink). The first Mumm Cordon Rosé was launched in 1952 by René Lalou, president and key figure of the House in the 20th century. Mumm Cordon Rosé was even served at the table of the Élysée Palace. In 1958, the painter Léonard Foujita imagined a rose to decorate the bottle of the House's rosé champagne. Today, drawn on the cap of 75cl bottles, this refined motif continues to express the freshness and intensity of this wine.
