Barons de Rothschild Brut is the result of a well-balanced blend of Chardonnays, Pinots Noirs and Meuniers from the best terroirs in Champagne. This cuvée reflects with distinction the approach taken by the Rothschild family in the elaboration of its wines: the commitment to perfection and consistency, with a spirit of refinement and excellence that are the focus of the greatest attention. Barons de Rothschild champagnes have the exceptional characteristics that make them great champagnes. The half-bottle format (37.5 cl) is ideal for a one-to-one tasting, your gifts and corporate events.
    To the eye

The brilliance and clarity of the wine offer the eye pale gold reflections, combined with very fine bubbles that give rise to an abundant and persistent foam.

    On the nose

This cuvée exhales aromas of pear and dried fruit (almonds, fresh hazelnuts), which blend with touches of white flowers and light brioche accents.

    In the mouth

The attack is frank and lively. It gives way to a round wine, with a controlled power, sign of a long ageing in traditional cellars.

    Food & champagne pairings

Barons de Rothschild Extra Brut is a complex champagne, ideal as an aperitif or throughout a meal. It can pair with light dishes, finely fried scallops, shellfish or rock fish. Then savour the Cuvée with risotto, white poulard or white meat. Finally, it can go with a farmhouse Brie de Meaux or a Chaource which will sublimate the of your meal.

    Ideal operating temperature

To appreciate all its finesse and aromas, champagne should be enjoyed chilled (but not iced). Depending on the cuvée, the ideal serving temperature is between 8 and 12°C.

    Potential of keeping

Like all wines, champagne can be kept for varying lengths of time, depending on the type. Under optimal storage conditions, champagne can be kept for 1 to 2 years for Brut cuvées, and up to 4/5 years or even longer for vintage and prestige champagnes. Whatever happens, rest assured that you'll never be able to open your champagne too early, as the Champagne Houses only release their cuvées when they have reached perfect ripeness and are ready for immediate consumption.

    Assembly :
This cuvée is the result of a complex blend composed of 60% Chardonnay from the great growths of the CÎte des Blancs, 40% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier from Verzenay, Ay, Mareuil sur Aÿ and Bouzy, based on wines from at least three years of harvest. The Chardonnay of this Champagne takes us into the world of the Barons de Rothschild Champagnes with an unforgettable taste.
