Laurent-Perrier has made the demanding choice to rarely declare a vintage, selecting only the best years, to make Brut Millésimé a rare and exceptional wine that expresses the character of a year in the Laurent-Perrier style.
The Laurent-Perrier Brut Vintage 2012 is made exclusively from Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims.
Presented in its luxurious case, the Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésime 2012 is ideal for all gift occasions.
A white gold color with very fine and persistent bubbles.
A nose of great complexity, very floral, with notes of citrus and white peaches.
A lively attack, a very present wine with great finesse that gives way to a beautiful minerality and notes of grapefruit on the finish.
The Laurent-Perrier Brut Vintage 2012 champagne goes perfectly with seafood and noble fish, sushi or a white fish ceviche for example, but also with poultry or veal. This wine also sublimates pressed cooked cheeses such as a young Comté or a Beaufort.
Ideal serving temperature : Serve between 9 and 11 °C.
Blend : Chardonnay 50%, Pinot Noir 50%. The Crus: Pinot Noirs from the Montagne de Reims (Ay, Verzy, Verzenay, Tours-sur-Marne, Louvois, Bouzy) and Chardonnays from the Côte des Blancs (Chouilly, Cramant, Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger).
Characteristics : Vintage 2012 : The year 2012 was characterized by successive climatic incidents. First of all, the winter frost made the vines sensitive, then, the spring frost as well as a dozen episodes of hail caused significant damage in many areas of the vineyard. Finally, a violent thunderstorm accompanied by intense hail broke out on June 7 and destroyed a large area of several communes. Despite these climatic incidents, the dry and sunny summer allowed an exceptional ripening of the grapes.
