Vintage 2012 : The year 2012 was characterized by successive climatic incidents. First of all, the winter frost made the vines sensitive, then, the spring frost as well as a dozen episodes of hail caused significant damage in many areas of the vineyard. Finally, a violent thunderstorm accompanied by intense hail broke out on June 7 and destroyed a large area of several communes. Despite these climatic incidents, the dry and sunny summer allowed an exceptional ripening of the grapes.
    To the eye

A white gold color with very fine and persistent bubbles.

    On the nose

A nose of great complexity, very floral, with notes of citrus and white peaches.

    In the mouth

A lively attack, a very present wine with great finesse that gives way to a beautiful minerality and notes of grapefruit on the finish.

    Food & champagne pairings

The Laurent-Perrier Brut Vintage 2012 champagne goes perfectly with seafood and noble fish, sushi or a white fish ceviche for example, but also with poultry or veal. This wine also sublimates pressed cooked cheeses such as a young Comté or a Beaufort.

    Ideal operating temperature

    Serve between 9 and 11 °C.

    Potential of keeping

Like all wines, champagne can be kept for varying lengths of time, depending on the type. Under optimal storage conditions, champagne can be kept for 1 to 2 years for Brut cuvées, and up to 4/5 years or even longer for vintage and prestige champagnes. Whatever happens, rest assured that you'll never be able to open your champagne too early, as the Champagne Houses only release their cuvées when they have reached perfect ripeness and are ready for immediate consumption.

    Assembly :
Chardonnay 50%, Pinot Noir 50%. The Crus: Pinot Noirs from the Montagne de Reims (Ay, Verzy, Verzenay, Tours-sur-Marne, Louvois, Bouzy) and Chardonnays from the Côte des Blancs (Chouilly, Cramant, Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger).
