Roger DesivryLYS Magnum (1.5L) | Naked Bottle
On the occasion of its 100th anniversary, Roger Desivry unveils its prestigious cuvée: LYS de Roger Desivry magnum is Roger Desivry’s secret cuvée, developed behind closed doors. In homage to the Kings of France, to whom we owe the fame of Champagne, the Royal Lily adorns the bottle.
LYS pays tribute to builders, to those who give life to their dreams. LYS is an achievement, a champagne between power and virtuosity.
This wine reveals a silky robe with straw gold reflections. It reveals a string of bubbles, fine and delicate which augurs a great balance.
On the nose
Characteristic of Chardonnays from the Côte des Blancs that have been carefully aged in the cellar, the nose reveals primary aromas of white flowers and dried fruits that quickly evolve into more compote-like notes of brioche and toasted almonds.
In the mouth
In the mouth, the texture is again silky and bewitching. The Chardonnays, which are tended by the chalk from which they are made, reveal a skilful balance of toast and salinity. An approach again of dried fruits and caramelized apples give way to a more fleshy structure, on notes of butter and candied fruits. On opening, the wine develops tertiary aromas of roasting.
A gastronomic wine par excellence, LYS is a wine that will go well with poultry in sauce. Roger Desivry liked it with a line-caught sea bass in a salt crust.
To appreciate all its finesse and aromas, champagne should be enjoyed chilled (but not iced). Depending on the cuvée, the ideal serving temperature is between 8 and 12°C.
LYS is best enjoyed within 3 years.
100% Chardonnay.
The Brut Gold Armand de Brignac is a multi-vintages champagne (trio of vintages 2009, 2010 and 2012).
