The Charles Heidsieck touch: Particularly recognizable, the Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve cuvée is the fruit of a demanding, precise blend of around 60 crus (less than 20% of Champagne’s villages), including 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 20% Meunier, enriched by a high proportion of 50% reserve wines, some of which are over 20 years old, guaranteeing unrivalled fleshy texture. One-third of each grape variety (Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir) is vinified vintage by vintage, grape variety by grape variety, in stainless steel tanks. The “4th varietal” time at Charles Heidsieck: The blend can exceed 50% reserve wines, some of which are over 20 years old. Prolonged maturation of 3 to 4 years in thousand-year-old crayères, well beyond the Appellation standard of 15 months.
For yourself or as a gift, its luxurious case is perfect for any occasion.

    To the eye

Brut Réserve has a deep, golden color. A fine effervescence, orchestrated and persistent, thanks to a long, slow maturation process in crayères.

    On the nose

The 50% reserve wines give a complex, elegant, gourmet nose: freshly baked brioche, roasted notes and ripe, sun-kissed fruits - mango, apricot, mirabelle plum - as well as dried fruits, pistachio and almond.

    In the mouth

The texture evokes the crunch of a thin layer of nougatine on a melting cream, with fleshy fruits, quetsches and cherries. Creaminess is provided by a selection of reserve wines. The finish reveals amber and vanilla notes and a touch of praline.

    Food & champagne pairings

Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve is ideal with earthy flavors: San Daniele ham, lamb fillet in a sweet spice crust.
From the sea: smoked salmon tartar, Monkfish esprit meunière, porcini mushrooms and chanterelles.
From cheese: Brie de Meaux / Chaource, Mozzarella Di Bufala.
Or sweet notes like a Mirabelle muffin.

    Ideal operating temperature

To appreciate all its finesse and aromas, champagne should be enjoyed chilled (but not iced). Depending on the cuvée, the ideal serving temperature is between 8 and 12°C.
