The 1999 harvest: After severe frosts in November (-14°C), the winter was a combination of rain, snow, cold, dullness, but also mildness and sun. The spring was a bit chaotic and contrasted (snow on April 14th, heat from April 25th to 30th) and ended with a beautiful flowering. At the end of August the harvest promised to be excellent, but despite some rain, the crop was healthy and abundant.

    Potential of keeping

Like all wines, champagne can be kept for varying lengths of time, depending on the type. Under optimal storage conditions, champagne can be kept for 1 to 2 years for Brut cuvées, and up to 4/5 years or even longer for vintage and prestige champagnes. Whatever happens, rest assured that you'll never be able to open your champagne too early, as the Champagne Houses only release their cuvées when they have reached perfect ripeness and are ready for immediate consumption.

    Assembly :
Chardonnay 52%, Pinot Noir 48%. The Crus: The most prestigious Crus of the Montagne de Reims (Verzy, Verzenay, Ambonnay, Tours-sur-Marne) and of the Côte des Blancs (Mesnil, Cramant, Oger, Chouilly).
    Dosage :
    7 g/liter
