La Tour d'Argent

Tour d'Argent Cuvée Cathelin Grand Cru Vintage 2018 Bottle (0.75L) | Naked Bottle

Champagne Tour d’Argent Cuvée Cathelin Vintage 2018 is Claude Terrail’s tribute to the talented painter Bernard Cathelin, who lived in the Tour d’Argent building, where he also had his studio. This third Vintage is also illustrated with one of the painter’s six lithographs, “Roses blanches pour Paris”. The originality of this vintage lies in the fact that the label goes all the way round the bottle, allowing you to appreciate the artist’s masterly work. Thanks to slow fermentation and very low dosage, this cuvée reveals fine balance, acidity and freshness. La Tour d’Argent champagnes are produced and bottled by R. & L. Legras in Chouilly.

Produced from old vines planted in 1979 and 1983 (surface area of 50 ares), this September 2018 harvest bottled in May 2019 was aged on lees until February this year and kept at 10° in the semi-darkness of champagne cellars.
    To the eye

A beautiful golden colour, with fine bubbles.

    On the nose

    An elegant, aromatic nose.

    In the mouth

On the palate, it reveals great finesse.

    Food & champagne pairings

A wine of lace par excellence, the finesse of its bubbles and its surprisingly complex aromas make it an airy wine, ideal for an aperitif or a refined dinner.

    Ideal operating temperature

Serve chilled but not chilled, between 8 and 10°C, to allow all its aromas to express themselves.

    Potential of keeping

Like all wines, champagne can be kept for varying lengths of time, depending on the type. Under optimal storage conditions, champagne can be kept for 1 to 2 years for Brut cuvées, and up to 4/5 years or even longer for vintage and prestige champagnes. Whatever happens, rest assured that you'll never be able to open your champagne too early, as the Champagne Houses only release their cuvées when they have reached perfect ripeness and are ready for immediate consumption.
