Yellow Label Réserve Cuvée
A balance between finesse and power, the Réserve Cuvée is both a remarkable aperitif wine and a privileged partner to pair the all meal.
Tasting Notes
Veuve Clicquot Réserve Cuvée is distinguished first and foremost by its intense colour with golden hues and by the finesse of its bubbles.
The nose is a perfect balance between fruit flavours such as peach, apricot and pear, combined with subtle notes of spice, vanilla and pastry.
Pronounced toasted and praline aromas, followed by more complex notes resulting from the prolonged ageing in cellars and its dosage liqueur aged in oak barrels, revealing toasted and brioche notes. The finish shows an exceptional bouquet born of the marriage between a unique dosage liqueur and prolonged ageing, which amplify a beautiful aromatic intensity.
Food pairings
This wine offers an optimal balance between finesse and power which makes it a remarkable aperitif wine or a privileged partner for a meal.
Ideal serving temperature : Serve between 10 and 12 °C.
Technical sheet
Blend : Réserve Cuvée is made with a majority of Pinot Noir (50-55%), the emblematic grape variety of the House of Veuve Clicquot, which brings power and structure, while Chardonnay (28-33%) adds elegance, freshness and finesse. The touch of Meunier (15-20%) gives roundness and fruitiness to the wine.
Vinification : The cuvée is made of 50 to 60 different wines. The proportion of reserve wines, which is variable between 30 and 45%, helps to maintain the style of the Champagne House. Produced from 5 to 6 different harvests, they are kept in individual vats by grape variety, by vintage and by year. The aromatic intensity of Réserve Cuvée is amplified, thanks to the dosage liqueur specially elaborated from Brut Carte Jaune, aged for 12 months in oak barrels, allowing Réserve Cuvée to display a singular roundness.
Ageing potential : 3 years
Characteristics : Non Vintage
