Dom Ruinart Rosé 2009 with box

A Dom Ruinart vintage is the most accomplished expression of a champagne signed Ruinart. Rare vintages whose number is imposed by a high level of requirement. From the choice of terroirs to bottling, from aging to disgorging, each step in the production of a Dom Ruinart cuvée contributes to the birth of a wine born of the intuition of a promising year. The House is pleased to unveil Dom Ruinart Rosé 2009, the 20th vintage of the cuvée named in homage to Dom Thierry Ruinart, the enlightened man who inspired his family and their descendants since the 17th century.

Dom Ruinart Rosé 2009 has benefited from 11 years of ageing on laths in the heart of the Crayères, the time necessary to develop its toasted aromas and shape its roundness in the mouth.

Presented in a box, this exceptional vintage is ideal to mark the spirits on special occasions. It’s also a perfect gift idea!

    Tasting Notes

The shade is a soft pink with raspberry highlights.

The first aromas evoke a mixture of warm spices mixed with the freshness of citrus fruits: cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, blood orange & kumquat... The second nose is more floral, accentuated by notes of violet and peony. Finally, an iodized universe completes this bouquet with fresh notes of oyster shell.

The mouthfeel is remarkable: the attack is enveloping and silky with notes of acidic red fruits (pomegranate, redcurrant), the mid-palate is fluid and salty and the finish is firm and intense, prolonged by a delicate bitterness and a fine effervescence.

    Food pairings

This spicy and floral wine will highlight your dishes with an elegant freshness. Here are some examples, both land and sea:
    - Marinated red mullet with kumquat, saffron gel & colored carrots
    - Roasted guinea fowl breast with hay, Ras el-hanout sauce & seasonal vegetables
    - Creamy pumpkin, gnocchi & hazelnut

Characteristics : 2009 in Champagne is a vintage often described as "sunny", but it is especially characterized by a harvest carried out under a summer climate and ideal for maturation. Between gales, hail, heavy rainfall (+ 60% compared to the ten-year average) and cold spells during flowering, the beginning of the cycle was complicated to say the least! Fortunately, summer conditions
take over and will continue until September, allowing a regular ripening in ideal conditions.
The harvest begins on average on September 12, under good weather conditions. The quality of the harvest is particularly healthy and the weather, which remains good, allows for optimal ripeness for both the Chardonnays and the Pinot Noirs with high levels of anthocyanins.
