Veuve ClicquotVintage Rosé 2015 Bottle (0.75L) | Naked Bottle
Veuve Clicquot Vintage Rosé 2015 is the expression of prodigious harvests, making light of the delicate climatic conditions in Champagne. The predominance of Pinot Noir, the subtle touch of 10% of wines made in oak foudres and the prolonged aging on lees give it the power and aromatic richness so typical of the Veuve Clicquot Vintage style. “Vintage Rosé 2015 surprises us with its complex nose and beautiful energy on the palate. Notes of orange blossom, yuzu and tangerine add freshness, while aromas of cherry, aniseed and Viennese bread add deliciousness.”
Attractive deep pink color with coppery highlights.
On the nose
The straightforward nose reveals an intense bouquet of red fruits.
In the mouth
The palate is powerful, full-bodied and clean. This is followed by voluptuous floral aromas (jasmine, orange blossom, lime blossom), citrus (yuzu, yellow lemon, mandarin), orchard fruit (apricot, quince, cherry), berries (strawberry, redcurrant, blueberry, marmalade & dried dates) and spices (clove, saffron, vanilla), green tea & wild mushrooms, and bakery (brioche, puff pastry, woody : Sandalwood, eucalyptus).
Vintage Rosé is perfect as an aperitif. It also goes perfectly with delicate, gourmet dishes. Accord-fusion (blends of land and sea, fresh and warm notes, sweet and savory), world cuisines (spices, oriental, Asian, Indian), Tajine of monkfish with dates and orange peel.
To appreciate all its finesse and aromas, champagne should be enjoyed chilled (but not iced). Depending on the cuvée, the ideal serving temperature is between 8 and 12°C.
Like all wines, champagne can be kept for varying lengths of time, depending on the type. Under optimal storage conditions, champagne can be kept for 1 to 2 years for Brut cuvées, and up to 4/5 years or even longer for vintage and prestige champagnes. Whatever happens, rest assured that you'll never be able to open your champagne too early, as the Champagne Houses only release their cuvées when they have reached perfect ripeness and are ready for immediate consumption.
50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, 20% Meunier, including 13% red wine (Pinot Noir Bouzy Grand Cru).
Like every vintage, wine reflects the weather and the year’s climatology. The 2015 harvest is the result of an exceptional viticultural year with low rainfall and plenty of sunshine, producing concentrated, structured wines.
The predominance of Pinot Noir, produced exclusively from grapes selected for the Grands Crus and Premier Crus, gives it the structure emblematic of Veuve Clicquot champagnes, while the proportion of Chardonnay brings the elegance and finesse of a perfectly balanced wine. A small percentage of Meunier completes the blend. The uniqueness of Veuve Clicquot’s Vintage Rosé lies in the use of wines vinified and aged in oak foudres (10%), bringing power and aromatic intensity.
