Barons de RothschildRosé Bottle (0.75L) | Naked Bottle
Barons de Rothschild Rosé sublimates the art of blending Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with finesse and elegance.
The art of blending is enhanced in this rosé cuvée, the Barons de Rothschild Champagne House style appears with finesse and elegance with the high concentration of Chardonnay and the magic of Pinot Noir, vinified in red. The harmony of the fruit and lightness of this champagne offers a complexity that will be easily tamed by the most experienced palates. Pure and delicate, this Champagne Rosé translates with distinction the approach taken by the de Rothschild family in the elaboration of its wines: the concern for perfection, consistency, with a spirit of refinement and excellence that are the object of the greatest attention.
Through a very fine string of bubbles and a fine and tenacious foam, the Rosé offers a pretty pale pink hue with light salmon tints.
On the nose
Around the fine and subtle spring aromas, we find the scents of rose petals, wild strawberries with a touch of citrus zest.
In the mouth
The attack on the palate is fresh and precise, followed by a silky melting on the palate with a hint of raspberry. The length and balance of the wine are deliciously fleshy.
Ideal as an aperitif, Barons de Rothschild Rosé champagne allows all kinds of audacious pairings. Sushi, sashimi or red tuna tartar are an excellent match as well as truffled veal knuckle or a pink lamb served in a cranberry sauce. Finally, for dessert, a red fruit soup or fresh strawberries will bring out the gourmet flavours of this champagne.
Serve between 8 and 10°C.
Like all wines, champagne can be kept for varying lengths of time, depending on the type. Under optimal storage conditions, champagne can be kept for 1 to 2 years for Brut cuvées, and up to 4/5 years or even longer for vintage and prestige champagnes. Whatever happens, rest assured that you'll never be able to open your champagne too early, as the Champagne Houses only release their cuvées when they have reached perfect ripeness and are ready for immediate consumption.
The Rosé is the result of a skilful blend of more than 90% Chardonnays from the main crus of the Côte des Blancs (Avize, Cramant, Mesnil-sur-Oger, Vertus) and great Pinots Noirs from the Montagne de Reims (10%), of which a small proportion is delicately vinified as red.
40% of reserve wines are used in the blending, an exceptional know-how of the Barons de Rothschild Champagne House, which makes it a major asset in the ability to recompose a constant blend each year.
Barons de Rothschild Rosé asserts its finesse by blending the greatest Chardonnays of Champagne with the best Pinot Noirs vinified in red after at least three years of cellar aging. The high proportion of Chardonnays brings the finesse and vivacity of a great rosé, the Pinot Noir offers a harmonious and delicate complexity that charms all the senses. Its brilliance, its pale pink reflections, its aromas of citrus and red fruits seduce the most demanding amateurs. The very low dosage of this wine and its long ageing after disgorgement (6 to 9 months) give it a maturity where Chardonnay and Pinot Noir can express all their authenticity and purity, which can be appreciated at any time of the day.
