Champagne Alexandre Bonnet Les Vignes Blanches Blanc de Noirs 2019, a 100% Pinot Noir blend, offers seductive exotic and spicy complexity, carried by a powerful, energetic palate with a finish of saline vitality.
Alcohol content: 12.5%.
Vintage 2019: this was a hot year with several episodes of intense heat. Very ripe and healthy. 2019 retains a very fine balance. “Les Vignes Blanches” was harvested on September 7 and 9, in the morning, to pick the grapes before the heat.
Terroir : Kimmeridgian Jurassic limestone and marl, cool, sunny semi-continental climate of southern Champagne, altitude approx. 220 m. Les Vignes Blanches draws its richness from Pinots ideally exposed to the East, favoring optimal fruit ripening.
Farming: Agroecological practices. Precision viticulture with HVE label since 2015, organic practices: extensive prophylaxis, no weedkillers, tillage, partial grassing, organic composts, reduced frequency of treatments, no insecticides.
Environment: Development of biodiversity by planting orchards, truffle oaks, melliferous fallows, late mowing of grassed areas (pollination), restoration of vernacular heritage (cadoles).
The color is limpid, yellow with golden highlights.
On the nose
The nose is intense and complex, with yellow-fleshed and exotic fruits, jasmine and a touch of sweet spices.
In the mouth
Warm and powerful on the palate, with a long, tangy finish.
This champagne is ideal with turbot with orange butter or lobster.
Drink at 8-10°C and leave to open for 5 minutes in the glass.
Drink fresh within 3 years, or up to 10 years for greater complexity.
100% Pinots Noirs.
Grape varieties: Massal selections of the Domaine’s own Pinot Noirs Champenois planted in 1993, on S04 rootstock, short Guyot pruning and Royat cordon. Average age of vines 30 years.
Harvesting: Exclusively manual and progressive depending on grape maturity. Sorting in the vineyard. Immediate transfer to openwork crates.
Vinification: Slow pneumatic pressing, static settling, simple yeasting, malolactic fermentation, low sulfiting, light filtration after chilling.
Aging: 44 months on average on lees, disgorged at a very low dosage of 1 g/L to preserve the wine’s purity.
Vintage 2019: 7,782 bottles and 108 magnums produced.
Extra-Brut 1 g/liter
