Moët & ChandonBrut Impérial Pharrell Williams Bottle (0.75L) | Naked Bottle
Moët & Chandon is unveiling a new limited edition of its emblematic cuvée, created by artist and designer Pharrell Williams. Since 1743, Moët & Chandon has been creating wines and products of excellence. In keeping with this tradition, the Champagne House is collaborating with the famous American designer to reflect both its history and the promotion of French craftsmanship. Moët & Chandon and Pharrell Williams delved into the House’s archives to discover that in 1892, what is now the famous bow on the bottle was originally a ribbon. A true symbol for the House, this knot, now a knotted tie, becomes the key element of this new Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial Limited Edition with case x Pharrell Williams. The case and the neck of the bottle come in different colours (gold, blue and red). The House’s emblematic typography has been replaced by white lettering dotted with pearl-like dots. The red royal seal on the bottle is transformed into a pearled monogram. Supplied in a case of 6 bottles containing: 2 blue versions, 2 red versions and 2 gold versions.
Good to know: Refreshment should be gradual so as not to “break” its foam and bouquet.
An elegant golden yellow color with green highlights.
On the nose
Its bright nose reveals white-fleshed fruits (apple, pear, white peach), citrus (lemon), complemented by floral overtones (lime) and blond notes (brioche and fresh nuts).
In the mouth
A subtle palate: a flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth that combines generosity and subtlety, full and savory, then crisp and delicately fresh (pomaceous), embodies champagne balance.
From appetizer to dessert: with sushi or oysters, with a free-range roast chicken and its fine herb juice, or with a fine white peach tart and its light white chocolate cream.
To be consumed between 8 and 10 °C.
Like all wines, champagne can be kept for varying lengths of time, depending on the type. Under optimal storage conditions, champagne can be kept for 1 to 2 years for Brut cuvées, and up to 4/5 years or even longer for vintage and prestige champagnes. Whatever happens, rest assured that you'll never be able to open your champagne too early, as the Champagne Houses only release their cuvées when they have reached perfect ripeness and are ready for immediate consumption.
Moët Impérial is a perfectly successful blend of more than 200 crus, in which the three cépage of Champagne harmoniously complement each other: 30-40% Pinot Noir, 30-40% Meunier, 20-30% Chardonnay. The 20-30% specially selected reserve wines complete the blend and enhance its maturity, complexity and texture. Only the incomparable richness of the Moët & Chandon soil allows such subtle and complex elaboration.
Complete, generous and dynamic, Moet & Chandon wines benefit from the know-how of winemakers at various stages of the winemaking process. The systematic performance of malolactic fermentation naturally ensures a slight reduction in the classic acidity of Champagne wines, which can block access to other sensations. The palate is softer. The systematic use of Pinot Meunier in the blend brings its juicy, fleshy texture, drives and enhances the richness of the Chardonnay and results in wines of great maturity. The maturation process, which for each vintage lasts about twice the legal period, enriches and softens the wine. A precisely tailored dosage for each cuvée provides the final touch to refine the whole.
