PommeryCuvée Louise Vintage 2005 Bottle (0.75L) | Naked Bottle
Pommery Cuvée Louise 2005 vintage expresses, through an exceptional year, the quintessence of the Pommery style. This wine, complex and structured, is like a caress.
The wine is exceptionally bright and clear. The effervescence is fine and delicate, revealing the long work of aging in the cellars of the House Pommery.
On the nose
The nose is delicate and elegant. It reveals the purity of the great terroirs and the extreme quality of the grapes that were pressed to create it. With great finesse, this wine opens with floral aromas of lime blossom and hawthorn followed by fruity notes of vine peach and pear. The buttery character is then revealed with finesse. After a few seconds, spicy notes of vanilla and roasted hazelnuts add complexity to this delicate nose.
In the mouth
This wine is like a caress. The attack is frank, without asperity or imbalance. Its incredible harmony and minerality take us into a dreamlike experience during which the aromas detected in the nose are found and enter into synergy. The finish, all in softness, comes to underline this wine and bring the signature of the vintage by a unique flavor, delicate bitterness, which gives the final relief of this vintage.
With its complexity and structure, the 2005 Cuvée Louise will go well with a multitude of delicate dishes, from the simplest to the most sophisticated. It will thus accompany advantageously asparagus with mousseline sauce or a lobster roasted with black truffle. A steamed turbot steak with oyster mushrooms will also go perfectly with this prestigious vintage.
To appreciate all its finesse and aromas, champagne should be enjoyed chilled (but not iced). Depending on the cuvée, the ideal serving temperature is between 8 and 12°C.
Like all wines, champagne can be kept for varying lengths of time, depending on the type. Under optimal storage conditions, champagne can be kept for 1 to 2 years for Brut cuvées, and up to 4/5 years or even longer for vintage and prestige champagnes. Whatever happens, rest assured that you'll never be able to open your champagne too early, as the Champagne Houses only release their cuvées when they have reached perfect ripeness and are ready for immediate consumption.
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir.
